Michelle Phan Meet and Greet in Miami 2012

I went to meet and greet Michell Phan in person at Aventura Mall in Miami, Florida. It was a fun experience even though I couldn’t get closer than what you see in this video. But in the process I met Emmy8405 that have posted previously about her in this blog.

Who is Michelle Phan? For those who don’t know Michelle Phan is a Vietnamese-American make-up artist who posts make-up and beauty tutorials on YouTube, sometimes under the online alias ricebunny. Phan attended Ringling College of Art and Design and Massachusetts College of Art and Design.

Phan joined Youtube on July 18, 2006 and has created over 200 videos. In November 2010, she reached over 1 million subscribers.

Phan is known for her video style that incorporates her voice-over instruction with music and text subtitles. Her videos are created entirely using iMovie on a MacBook Pro. Popular beauty tutorials released on Phan’s YouTube channel have included her “Romantic Valentine Look,” “Brighter Larger Looking Eyes,” “Makeup for Glasses,” and “Mysterious Masquerade Look.” Her most popular videos include the “Lady Gaga ‘Poker Face’ Tutorial” with over 30,000,000 video views on YouTube,”Lady Gaga Bad Romance Look,” with over 25,000,000 views, “Romantic Valentine Look,” and “Seductive Vampire”. In January, special effects were used in her new Lady Gaga “Bad Romance” video, the first for a makeup guru.The Buzzfeed profiled Phan on January 23, 2009 overnight, turning it into a viral video.

Phan’s success on YouTube has produced attention from the media and people internationally. She appeared in the August 2009 issue of Seventeen magazine, the St. Petersburg Times on August 23, 2009, the Sun Sentinel on August 24, 2009, and on the popular blog BellaSugar on April 19, 2009. Phan was also featured in a Chilean newspaper for her Barbie video. Recently, Phan was also published in May’s issue of NYLON magazine. She appeared in Forbes magazine as well.

In 2010, Phan was hired by Lancôme. Her videos will include Lancôme beauty products.

Meet Emmy a Makeup Artist

Emmy is a YouTube Star that has lots of tips, advice and makeup videos. It happened that yesterday I went to meet Michell Phan at Sephora on Aventura Mall in Miami, there was allot of people, fans and such. So in the process of waiting I met Emmy, another person that was doing the same thing I was hoping for and that was meeting Michelle Phan.

But it was not what I at least was expecting as well as Emmy and we were kind of like what??? We were just trying to get a glimpse of  Michell cause are hopes of at list getting closer was not possible for many reasons that, well Emmy in this video can tell you more about it and why we couldn’t get a picture, a video or autograph.

But is ok, I had fun and it was my first time getting into a YouTube Meeting adventure I guess. I have to work on my video so hopefully you will see mine soon.

My YouTube Journey 2011

Well we are almost in that time of reflection and family which is Christmas. Love this time of the year and I try to do my best on keeping traditions and happiness around the house no matter how good or bad it is. We take every day as an important day and full of  joy.

I have done a compilation of all the videos I made through out the year,  even though Hair is my Passion and duty every day makeup have been the fun part of all this beauty craziness I’ve been through. So for those who didn’t get a glimpse of my Makeup YouTube Year, this video is the perfect place to see what I did combine with other geeky videos I  mixed in cause like always, technology is involved. YouTube has been my main home you can see my YouTube channel here, cause I had an account for so long but is was mainly focus on gaming but that didn’t work out to well so I decided to do more interesting stuff on YouTube and so far I’ve had a good acceptance, I’m working on more creativity for you the viewers for this upcoming 2012. I have Vimeo also but that is focused on more technical and learning aspects on video production and techniques.
